Hi, my name is Marcus and thanks for seeing my portfolio, I am a graduate from Northumbria University and I’d really appreciate it if you looked through some of my projects and solo adventures.

A bit about me:

What sets me apart from other designers is my attention to detail and ability to spot even the smallest inconsistencies in my work, down to a few pixels. I love looking into graphic design when I’m out and making a judgement on the work. I also bring 3D modelling skills, creating realistic textured mock-ups of products efficiently, and the ability to render textured models into a high definition image. I have multiple sports commitments through hockey, such as coaching, playing and umpiring. Also during my time at university I spent my second and third year working part time at a local bakery, don’t know if you’ve heard of it, it’s called Greggs. Working there taught me how to work as a team, be adaptable and how to understand hierarchy more as a person, people came and went but one thing that’s for sure, it feels like a family in that place and I’m proud of the time I spent there. (The employee discount helped when studying in the City of Newcastle).

So why Graphic Design?

I chose graphic design purely because during college, I fell in love with photoshop, manipulating images to how I’d like people to see them and creating whacky and goofy effects for people to look twice at. I did a games, animation and VFX course at Middlesbrough College and I couldn’t be happier with where it lead me, learning the basics of graphic design has been an absolute blast but there’s always more to learn right? Different ways of doing things, different styles, different typefaces that I haven’t seen yet.
